1998 STAR CLASS NORTH AMERICAN SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Primary Sponsors
The Star NA regatta is underwritten by Noblia Watches, a division of Citizen Watches, in conjunction with the Star Class.  They have contributed a certain level of cash funding, along with top-of-the-line sailing watches for "keeper" trophies (final standings for 1st place - 5th place, plus daily winners).  In addition, they are providing official Citizen timing clocks for the races.

Nautica Sportswear is the official clothing sponsor, providing tee shirts for all sailors and volunteers, fleece warm-up vests for all sailors and official jackets for the race committee, judges and other officials.

Supporting Sponsors
Our sponsorship program is designed to offer excellent promotional value to participating companies while helping to defer regatta operational expenses.  Sponsorships fall into two categories:  things we require for the operation of the event, and promotional items for the sailors.

Sponsorship can be in the form of cash donation, however in some cases we prefer either donated merchandise or loaned items.  In exchange for sponsor support, we offer advertising space in our program, bannered space at the yacht club for the duration of the event, logo space on imprinted items, inclusion in the attendee handout package, spectator passes, inclusion on this club website.   The level of sponsorship determines which of the above opportunities are granted.

Operations Sponsors (we expect these items to be on a loan basis for 1 week):

Merchandise Sponsors:  these items will be included in the official registration bags  (sponsors can provide merchandise pre-printed, or we will embroider or print your logo plus the official event logo). Food and beverage items will be served at all meals as the official sponsored items:

ADDITIONAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Still looking for:
*  Official Scoring System (prefer IBM scoring or similar laptop-based system, require 2 laptops)
*  Official judging and race committee boats (three larger zodiac or 17' Boston Whaler-type with substantial motors are preferred)
*  Cellular phone service (require 10 units of cell phones plus 1 weeks service)
*  Tenting for the official measurement area.  Tent should be minimum 40' x 30' with sides.  Labor for set-up is greatly appreciated.*  20 durable moorings with 20' chain or heavy gauge rope
*  Air horns (5)
